The Langdale Chase Hotel and Restaurant – Windermere
Step back in time as you walk into the beauty of this historic building.
Personally, my favourite way to spend my time in this stunning location is sitting on the terrace overlooking Windermere lake for lunch on a crisp, bright day with blue autumn day.
Wrapped up warm with my dog at our feet after a lovely walk, the soup and a sandwich are quite honestly my perfect reward!
The view… Well, see for yourself.
The Travellers Rest – Grasmere
A 10-minute walk out of the village, this for me is a cosy winter pub with an open fire and the feeling of proper pub food.
The Swan Hotel – Grasmere
Located on the A591 just before turning into Grasmere, the Swan pride themselves on their food. We have had many a beautiful meal here and the red wine selection is also worth a look!
The Yan – Broadrayne
Located on the fell above the A591, The Yan houses beautiful accommodation and a bistro which seems to come with a recommendation by almost everyone! The Yan pride themselves on high quality produced sourced locally and dishes prepared in house.
The Britannia Inn – Elterwater
The ‘Brit’ is located in the Langdale Valley which, if you haven’t seen already, you really must take a look. This pub is the epitome of ‘Oldy Worlde’ with cosy nooks and open fires.
For a pint of real ale and sandwich after a long walk, it really is the perfect spot.
Food of the Fells (Takeaway) – Ambleside
If you’re having a night in and fancy a takeaway, Food of the Fells is a great call. With a selection of pizza’s and burgers and kebabs, it is definitely one to try.
